What would be the good news you are hoping for?

Unfortunately, it didn’t happen.

Notice Dunk didn't say what amazing inside knowledge he had. Not surprising.

Pretty sure I said “hoping” for good news. Never said it would happen or that I had “amazing inside knowledge.”

6'9, 230 lb forward Alston Andrews has opted to return to ILST. Adds additional post depth. We aren't really sure what we have with him. It's believe Muller brought him in as more of a project. As we get further removed from his tenure, it is easier to see that Muller was pretty good at bringing in talent, just had a tough time developing. I remember when he committed, Andrews' high school coach praised the fact that he was a young senior (I believe he was 17 when he graduated HS), said he was still growing, and compared his skillset to Dwight Howard in that he can use his size to get good shots in the post. A couple years in, we haven't seen it but he didn't get much opportunity either. It'll be interesting to see if the new staff can help him along and how he'll be used.

INSU Roster
Trenton Gibson 6'4 (1) (Primary Ball Handler)
Cooper Neese 6'4 (2)
Courvoisier McCauley 6'5 (3)
Cam Henry 6'6 (4)
Cade McKnight 6'9 (5) - BIG
Xavier Bledson 6'6
Kailex Stephens 6'7 - Considered a BIG but I would say Hybrid
Robbie Avila 6'10 (Freshman) - BIG
Julian Larry 6'3
Jayson Kent 6'7
Rob Martin 5'10 (Freshman)
Zach Hobbs 6'5
Cam Crawford 6'5
Masen Miller 6'2

I think they might be looking to add 1 more (A big). I put in my opinion who I think will be our most consistent starting 5. And they are all seniors. We seem to have a lot of versatility this upcoming season. We bring back 75.6% of our scoring last year back. I think we will move up to the middle of the pack (Hopefully sneak into the top) not only because of the additions but also what other teams lost. Again just my opinion, but Year 2 should be more successful than last season. McCauley played for Schertz for 2 years before going to DePaul and Gibson (NBA Prospect) played against Schertz in the same D2 league so don't have to worry about a learning curve like last season.

Wonder if Jayson Kent realized he was going to be the 10th guy when he committed.

As long as he's not playing significant minutes at Bradley it's all good :)

So the eligibility period to enter the portal has expired, and Jones and Domask are still at SIU. Maybe they just forgot to sign up?

LOVE THIS! The Tribe has been pretty quiet on Saluki additions this Spring. Must be depressed knowing Jones and Domask are all in, and will be wearing that beautiful Maroon and White uniform for two more years!

Actually I've said quite a few times I expect SIU to be among the MVC contenders next season. Time is now for SIU.

Barry Hinson went 4th, 3rd, 2nd, 3rd in his last four seasons.

Hopefully in year four of the Bryan Mullins era they can reach similar heights or better.
