Aces were impressive, think they're going to surprise some people

Good to see out of Evansville. Only watched about 30 seconds of Belmont but what a finish! SIU looked extremely impressive tonight. 54 in the first half. I'd like to know the last time that happened in Carbondale. Pretty fun night overall in the MVC.

94 for SIU and 93 for Bradley on the same night????

Somewhere Chris Lowery and Jim Molinari just s*** themselves :)

Impressive performance by the Salukis. Same for Belmont. Ohio has been pretty good. I was surprised the Aces won. Good for them. Indiana State destroyed GB. Another strong showing.

Bradley won easily as it should.

Never as a Racer fan have I been "encouraged" by a 23-point blowout. After watching the Racers get beat down by SLU last night, I came away encouraged by the tremendous amount of upside these Racers have. As the season goes on, we'll start to turn heads. By March, you'll not want to play the Racers!

What a heart-stopping win for Belmont last night. We had 5 players not dressed and 3 of them are upperclassmen. Keishawn Davidson, who was supposed to be our starting point guard, had his arm in a sling.

80 of the 200 total minutes were from freshmen and it was a freshman, Cade Tyson, who hit the buzzer beater to win the game. He scored 18 for the night.

Did my heart good to see so many Valley teams get off to such strong starts. Little Rock is a team that has given MVC teams trouble in the past and SIU beat them handily. Evansville had a terrific win and I think they are in strong hands with their new coach. Belmont had a truly impressive debut and the fact that they pulled off that victory shorthanded is even more noteworthy. Indiana State had an extremely solid showing. This was a very good night. Hopefully Illinois State will progress as the season goes on but that was not an ideal outcome for Pedon's debut. Murray State will be fine. SLU should be one of the best teams in the A-10 and Murray was working in a lot of new faces. I want to give the same grace to Valpo who is in a similar spot with new players playing a strong team but I just can't. I'm just so jaded and burned out on Lottich that I just can't say anything positive anymore. I hope he proves me wrong but the only things we really have is that run at Arch Madness in 2020 and some fluky starts early in our MVC tenure that cratered into embarrassing finishes. I think (I hope) we can be a better program than this but we need to make some changes to have any hope of that.

Very Solid night for the MVC last night minus ISU(r). But as a Bradley fan, I can't help but chuckle at that loss.

Encouraging performance from Bradley playing without Mast. There were a lot of questions about the offense, but defense looked shaky at times against D2 Wisconsin-Parkside. Hopefully it's just early season cobwebs.

Henry played great and looks like the Henry we knew before the concussion issues last year.

Hickman looks poised to have a strong Sophomore year.

Hannah looked much improved. He seems like a much more developed player than last year.

We will find out very quickly where this team is at without Mast when they play at Utah State.

I'm curious what you saw that was encouraging. I didn't see the game and just curious. not trying to be a dick.

No problem. Just a lot of raw talent on display. The Racers lost by 23 due to some fundamental mistakes green talented teams are going to make. This same group with one year playing together would have made a much closer game. Time and great teaching from Prohm will fix those mistakes and I believe we will see a different Racer team in the weeks to come. I'm not a KoolAid drinker, but a realist. These guys will get it together. I'm 100% confident.
