Oh man, that has to be a kick to the junk to have a UMKC fan come in and say "you gave us everything we could handle."

Losing to UMKC has to feel like rock bottom on its own, but then to get dunked on afterwards as if giving UMKC everything they can handle is an accomplishment...Woof.

UNI played 65 really good minutes in Kansas City but couldn't close the deal against two good teams.

We spend most of the rest of the non-con at home so there should be some wins coming. We knew it was going to be a learning first part of the schedule and having a game canceled and then losing Nate Heise for a month sure didn't help.

Still think this team will be pretty good by the time league play rolls around.

By no means was that intended to be a slight towards Indiana State. I have a lot of respect for them, having made the Final Four in 1979 along with the Round of 32 in 2001. They are a legacy mid-major and the MVC affiliation still carries a little weight, so picking up a win against them is huge for our program.

I was actually hoping to discuss the game ahead of time, but did not see my account was activated until last night’s game was finished. Regardless, I wish the Sycamores well in their third-place game today.

Bradley lost yesterday 85-64 to #13 Auburn in Cancun. Bradley still down 2 starters, Mast and Zek Montgomery, and Ja'Shon Henry did not make the trip to Cancun because of the concussion on Saturday. Connor Hickman was back in the line-up after missing the game Saturday with an ankle injury. He played well and led the Braves 15 points. Duke Dean also had 15 for the Braves.

Auburn jumped out to a 10-2 lead, and then Bradley was playing from behind the rest of the game. It was a 12-18 point game most of the 2nd half as Bradley could just never make a real run to make it tight in the 2nd half. Honestly, this was probably the best case scenario for this game with basically 3 starters out of the starting line-up.

Bradley comes back tonight to take on a decent Liberty team at 5pm tonight.

I listened to a couple interviews/podcasts with the new Valpo President. He was adamant about striving for excellence in MBB and thought it was imperative to raise money from donors for a new arena.

He was very impressive. No way Lottich lasts beyond this season with the new President.

I’ve gotta believe that their NET is gonna be 330+. Just fire Lottich now and get that out of the way. Absolutely brutal…
