All I see are two unhinged toothless hillbillies going after a college basketball player and needing to be restrained by your staff and an administrator lol. I bet money that’s you or a cousin or uncle, probably one in the same by the looks of that one crazed fan hahaha.

Damn I wish I was a fan of such a morally upright program that allows students heckling the opposing team to storm the court while said opposing team is still there. But really the more pathetic thing is rushing the court in the first place on a team that you *checks notes* beat by 4 at home and 6 on the road. A team that has a totally turned over roster. But a little introspection might do you some good as I saw one of your players get throw away from the scrum and try to get back in looking for some more. But we’re the thugs ;) .

The student section did not "storm the court", they calmly walked down there to take their post game photo that they take with the team after every home game. This has been going on all year, for every win, this is nothing new.

Students weren't causing any trouble, the trouble came on the other side of the court. Old dude that Burns went after needs to just shut up

I think tonight was awesome in Carbondale except for the “L” and something we’ve been missing in the OVC, a heated conference rival who is actually worthy of the term “rival” with the fanbase to match. I was there the night we opened the CFSB Center against SIU and it was an old and heated rivalry then as it had been for years already so it should be something else going forward. Good crowd.

Man this is fun! Can anyone honestly tell me that the ISU/Bradley rivalry is better than this?

The only thing I’m gonna chip in here… I believe a Racer fan defended Burns on here when people called him a head case by basically saying that “He plays to the crowd and dances to the music, but he’s not the kind of guy that gets in your face. But some people won’t like him anyway because of that (or something similar to this)”.

Do you still believe this? Dude got a technical with Rupert tonight, got involved in the handshake line, and went after an ignorant old man in the crowd. I believe that the “getting in your face” line was crossed multiple times lol.

This is the exact reason why they should have been added. Game wasn't dangerous at all. Just tempers flaring at points.

Calling them "thugs" is unnecessary. Murray was a good add. One reason, like others mentioned/hinted at, SIU needed a more real rivalry, especially after Creighton left. Murray fills that well.

NOTE: I don't want fists flying brawls (I don't want anybody to get hurt) but, a little in-the-face trash talking or what we saw today is fine by me. Makes for a better rivalry. :)

We'll never know because they're never, ever good at the same time.

Rivalries are fun and great for the league. This is how you make games feel important on a Tuesday night in January.

After going through everything and seeing the trash talk on Twitter last night (which I admittedly participated in, which I rarely do), I’ve grown a strong distaste for a bunch of Murray fans. Putting all that stuff aside this morning…SIU and Murray being good is great for this league. If we want to fill the best crowd in St. Louis these days, that has to be the most logical route to doing so.

Correct. The schools that are an easy drive need to be good and need to show up when they are.

It had gotten pretty sad that UNI, who is the furthest away, was bringing one of the biggest crowds. The folks that are hours closer don't realize how good they have it. Let's get a corner turned and start having to use the upper bowl again.

I'd think Southern will have its biggest turnout at Arch Madness this year since the glory days. Thinking Bradley and Murray should have pretty good turnouts as well, though I'm sure Murray would bring more if they weren't headed for 7th or 8th place.
