Lance Jones got benched for the last 15 minutes of the Bradley game and pouted. I don’t see why he would come back. And does Domask want to sign up for another year of 58-54 games? Go somewhere and win.

You may be interested to know that Lance Jones’ aunt just died from cancer. He is dealing with that and he was not pouting, he was mad at himself for letting his teammates down. He made up for it against Northen Iowa.

And Lance’s father just suffered a stroke.

Lance has had a really tough week or two in his personal life. Hopefully last night lit a fire in him and he’s past the troubles on the court.

You posted last year that both Domask and Jones would be leaving SIU, and playing elsewhere. How did that turn out for you?
Also, before you go ripping on a 22 year old college kid, do some research and gather the facts. Lance Jones has been a class act both on and off the court for the Salukis. Losing his Aunt from breast cancer recently, combined with playing in the Blackout Cancer.Game was quite obviously a difficult situation. Add to this his Father suffering a stroke and it's easy to see why he wasn't at his best. If he plays as half as good as last night, BU loses, not even close. I think we'll beat the Gargoyles in The Lou on Saturday night.

BU shot a ridiculously low 22% from 3 and 40% from the line, but I guess SIU’s free throw defense is just that good

SIU will win an important game eventually. It’s bound to happen at some point.

SIU best non-conference win is at Oklahoma State (KenPom #39), Bradley's best is at home against Akron (KenPom #106). SIU also owns a win over Drake in conference.

Just another reason why I like the Dawgs chances in the Lou. Gotta beat UIC in the West Loop first, which won't be an easy task. SIU should have the home court adv in this one.

When is the last time SIU played for a championship? Regular season or MVC Tournament? THOSE are important games.

Lance Jones and Marcus Domask are really good players. Hopefully for them they can play a game that matters in STL. It's coming on the end of four years now. Barry Hinson got fired for finishing third.
