Quite possible, but hard to know right now. We have a number of guys who have already transferred once, so depending on how strict the NCAA is on waivers will probably influence some. Ford is really under fire from the fan base, but President Smart has already made the support statement . He has 2 years on the contract, but I think the buy out drops quite a bit in a month or 2 . We have a guy who appears based on past tips, to be fairly connected, and he says that if a large number leave this spring, that could change that Administrative support for Ford . Who knows. Personally I think we will lose at least another couple, because I think those who haven't used their 1x transfer kinda feel like it's a toy that needs to be played with.

The guy I've mentioned is a former D-1 player, coach, and now pretty active in AAU I think. I don't even know who he really is, but he has been pretty on target with past tidbits. He's got a couple other things he's hinted, about other Valley schools I'll be interested to see if they pan out . But anyway, yeah I think we will see more roster churn, just hope we keep enough of a core so it's not a total overhaul again; one good thing about this past year is we used a crazy number of lineups, so we have quite a few guys with experience if we can just keep enough of them.

I think Mogbo may end up at Murray St with his former juco pg already there, and I think they are recruiting a guard off that same juco.

You can't have both. Either you want everyone on the roster to stay their entire career, or you don't.

Plus, the NCAA is done granting 'run-off' waivers so your coach would have to be a real dick to run kids off if they've already used their free transfer like Petrakis has....

I HATE THE TRANSFER PORTAL - Mississippi State came and stole our best player!!!!

I LOVE THE TRANSFER PORTAL - Shitty players, 11, 12 and 13 on our roster are gone!!!!

Shepherd was good ,but not that good.A NBA type player would have carried his team to the MVC title.

You must have started watching the MVC this year if you think that's true.

Plenty of "NBA-type" players haven't won the Valley title.

Best of luck to Shepard.

There is no chance Victor Wembanyama will ever lead a team to the MVC title. Even if he played for Bryan Mullins.

I don't see him getting drafted, but he has a chance to get a free agent contract. Who knows, he may get the break and make the best of it. A lot may depend on how he does in the pre-draft workouts.

If you can play, the NBA will find you. The trick will always be when you get your shot can you capitalize on any opportunity given. Everyone's journey is not always the same so If Sheppard can make the most of it he will find a spot on a summer league team. If he excels there he will get an invite to a training camp. Then at that point can you be good enough to make a roster/G League affiliate.

Honestly, you don't want to get drafted in the second round. You're way better off being able to negotiate your own deal.

AJ Green had three teams call him and he asked that they not draft him because he already had the deal worked out with the Bucks. Worked out great for him.

This is ridiculous. I would prefer that power 5 teams not be allowed to poach our players with no restrictions. Unfortunately that is the way it works now. Given the reality of the situation I certainly want to be able to take their castoffs.
