Not sure if it is official today but it seems like FBS has changed the entry fee to $5 million. I’m sure this can be done if they wish, but the possible move for Missouri State just became a lot more expensive.

They also removed the FBS football attendance requirements, which were always fantasy anyway -- and replaced that with a requirement that FBS schools must use 90% of allowable scholarships across 16 available sports (at least 210 scholarships each year). That will be much more difficult for schools to weasel out of, and could send some schools back to FCS.

Yes. The schools in our league need the massive populations of Fargo and Brookings to help with the coming enrollment cliff and all of our athletic departments need the cost of flying into the middle of nowhere.

That said, there's no reason to get any bigger than 12 unless St Louis has a shocking change of heart.
