He's going to, at least, triple his salary and have a budget where he can compete year in, year out.
There will certainly be many people here more informed than me on the internal politics at Indiana State, but seems noteworthy to mention that their AD that hired him unceremoniously stepped down. I am left to assume that Indiana State is particularly poorly positioned at the moment to take advantage of the window of opportunity and organize resources to retain him, even if he were emotionally inclined to stay a year and try to keep the band together and see where that puts him one year from now. Many coaches that see their AD take a fall in the middle of a historic season would not be emotionally inclined to stick around.
