Still probably good enough to win the MVC but this isn't a "special" team like a lot of people thought/hoped. The Valley as a whole isn't close to the WCC. On many levels.
Please look at the Santa Clara and San Francisco schedules. Then when you want to repeat a coach line that "no one will play us" - stop talking. The games are there for teams and coaches that are willing to play them and seek them out.
It's one of many reasons why Bradley and the MVC are what they are.
Bradley was close to being really good - but in the spring, instead of getting with 2024 and competing for players in the portal, they went ahead and gave a scholarship to walk on Cade Hartke, gave a ride BACK to Goanar Bileuw who had already gone through senior Day, and gave a scholarship to D2 transfers Connor DIllon because he's from Peoria. All three of those guys were DNP yesterday.
It was just a chickenshit way of doing things and it is why you have lost your only two REAL games on the schedule thus far.
I essentially thought something similar yesterday: Bradley's job isn't to win the league or make march madness, their job is to play well enough that their metrics help drake get an at large if they should need it. Every league needs its second tier programs that help keep the top half exciting competitive and fun, but the expectation for Bradley was to be a little above that.
Putting Bradley in the second tier and clearly behind Drake is also a stretch.

There's exactly one program in this league that schedules like they give a s*** and then this very board gets all pissed when they've got losses in the non-con and then does well once league play hits.
Not calling you out because you don't do it but that's always the overwhelming sentiment here...

Drake is about to play its 3rd power conference opponent of the non-con slate. How many has UNI played?

UNI has played 4 Q1/Q2 games. Drake (and Bradley) have played 2. All 3 will add one more (UNI-Wazzu Neutral, Drake-KState Neutral, San Francisco at Bradley)
I'm glad Drake has played teams with fancy patches on the front of their uniforms.
