San Francisco is now the highest NET team (as of tonight) to lose to an MVC team with Bradley's win. It's basically a wash with Drake's win over Vandy, especially since that was neutral and BU was home. At any rate, we all might want to pump the brakes on predicting who's going to win this conference. I'm seeing at least 4 possibilities. However we slice it, this is a good win for the Valley, as was Drake's win over KSU. These teams are for real. Having said all this, I'm still ill at ease with Bradley after the WSU and Santa Clara losses. A couple real missed opportunities there. But we all know how Wardle's teams usually improve in February and March, so we'll see.

Yes, and this all starts to get important for Drake, which is probably now the only Valley team with any chance at all of getting into the at-large conversation. If Belmont can win that game, then Drake losing to Bradley or Belmont in an MVC final becomes potentially survivable. A long shot, I know, but possible at least.

An Illinois State win @100 NET Cornell on Saturday could move the Redbirds up to a Quad 2 road win (or Quad 2 loss)

I'm grateful for the win, but that was brutal to watch. It had a Molinari feel to it.

I feel the complete opposite. Both teams were playing excellent defense. USF did a great job on the scout and prevented Bradley from running the offense they wanted. The final few minutes it was big shot after big shot. Very exciting game.
