Adding NIU would be an unforced error of the greatest magnitude. This league doesn't need more mouths to feed at the moment. There are probably 15+ schools the MVC could add tomorrow that would be a better choice than NIU.

As MissouriValleyUnite said, if NIU had an offer from the MVC, they'd be dumb not to have accepted it by now. My guess is NIU is trying to generate last ditch interest. I think they end up in the Horizon or possibly OVC. Maybe if NIU starts to show some progress in a lesser league, they can be added to the list of potential names down the line. Right now, no chance the Valley should be adding them.

Social media, outside of sites like this where it's just valley fans casually discussing hoops, is the worst invention ever and I'm not exaggerating.

Anyway as you alluded to, if niu had a valley invitation niu would have already accepted it. The AD would have already signed an extension and theyd be discussing where his statue would go.
