21 Pts, 11 rebs, 5 assistants and he'll have one year to play.

UNI closed the deal on the only two visitors they had. That's how you effectively use the portal.

That’s good. Bradley is three for three on visits/commitments. Who knows how it pans out but there is a clear plan and not spending a ton of time and money on guys you aren’t sure about or can’t get.

I hope both institutions can survive, but neither one belongs in this league.

There are three decades of evidence for why that's true for Evansville and Valpo is working on completing its first decade.

I don't think anyone wanted them to fail, but they have and are failing. Evansville has tried new coaches, new ADs, and even plays in a newer arena. I was told that Ziggy was a miracle worker when he was hired, people were acting like he was going to get everything rolling like it was the 1960s. But it was never going to happen.

Valpo's addition has been discussed repeatedly and nothing has changed on that front. They're basically hoping Powell can work a miracle and overcome all of their inadequacies.

And the minute Powell works that miracle, he's out the door so fast heads will spin.

You people are embarrassing yourselves. All mid-majors are nothing but farm teams for the P4 at this point. Yes, Evansville has been a dud in the MVC. A complete dud. But this past year, the team was nothing but a rag tag group of 5 players, yet they still won 8 games in the MVC. The league is not near what it used to be. Not even close. Last year, graduation and the money schools raided the all conference teams, leaving one player to return to the MVC. You get a good coach, great year, boom! He is gone, the team is gone. Rebuild time again.

Even with the weakness of the Aces in the MVC, they always rank near the top in attendance. Think about that. Over the past 7 years, the Aces have had the worst teams and players in its long history, yet they still put more people in the Ford Center than the SIU, Illinois State, Drake, UNI, MSU.

Evansville belongs in the MVC not because the Aces are so great, but because the league has become very weak.

Can't argue with that logic. :Bam:

But they actually don’t lol. The guy reporting attendance down there either doesn’t know how to count or simply adds a 0 at the end. I’ve been there too many times.

I’ve been to a few different arenas on this league. When Murray says 5,000, it looks around 5,000. SIU, same thing. Evansville 5,000 is more like 1,500. Heck even the March to the Arch Podcast mentioned it.

A) I’m still waiting on an answer to my question about how UE and Valpo are destined for D3 while being better equipped than 50% of D1
B) whomever told you Ziggy was the answer needs to give their head a shake. First, his name is ZIGGY, and Secondly he isn’t the one drawing up sets
Also, shame on you for believing whomever told you he would be a miracle worker.
C) I’ve been to every arena in this league when they have been empty. No one in this league is special. And it won’t get better for teams located in towns where you can get to a cornfield quicker than you can get to a high rise.
