All indications are that Gesell wants to go BCS which is too bad. He could be an elite MVC player or an average one at a bad program like Nebraska or Stanford.

Is the Valley really so bad that he'd be elite here and only average at Nebraska? Or has Nebraska become that good and I missed the memo.

Iowa fans seem to think he will end up as a Hawkeye. Rumors are that he has been an Iowa fan, but his mom is pushing for Stanford.

Didn't realize Gesell was that athletic...Funk was more athletic than some may think...

Funk's spin move in the paint drove me nuts. He was really good with that move.

Honest question; Does anyone else think this article in the LJS is vindictive and ha ha high school journalism? Not to mention the kid and his parents sure appear to love attention. Gessel dropped Creighton according to Rivals, then said he didn't drop Creighton according to the OWH, and now he has dropped it again. We never had much of a chance considering he wants to major in engineering and we do not offer engineering. All I have heard is unl is not in the running either but he loves the local attention so does not want to say no just yet.
