And yet I've still heard their name in the Gessell conversation. Quite laughable as there is no way he chooses to come to UNI and UNI couldn't have him if they wanted (which who wouldn't) because of no open spaces.

I just did a search for the terms "northern" and "UNI" on all three pages of this thread and there were zero hits that had anything to do with UNI recruiting him. There was a mention of UNI in the second page, but it was an article that had to do with past success of SC area athletes I believe....

You are the one that brought up UNI:

UNI has no schollies fot next year. They aren't in the running for anyone.

Just a few days ago Gesell said schools in his mix are Stanford, Virginia, Iowa, Nebraska and Harvard. No others are involved.

Those are all some good academic schools to. Can't go wrong with any of them.

Well I think we can safely say that Harvard and Stanford are quality academic institutions and I would say UVA and Iowa are very good too...never heard of the other one

Harvard, Stanford, and UVA are all very. very good schools. Iowa and Nebraska are fine schools as well. Nebraska would not have got invited to the Big Ten if there academics were not top notch. The very strict standards is what kep Pittsburgh from being the choice for the 12rth member.

Their academics at Nebraska took a hit....right after they joined the Big 10, their membership in the Association of American Universities was revoked.
