Gavin Thurman committs to MSU

I know that early on, Creighton recruited him. They backed off because there were concerns that he could never make it through our admissions department even if he did manage to become NCAA eligible (which wasn't a given at the time either). I think he'll be a pretty decent player if he can get/keep his academics in order.

I've seen him a least a dozen times. Nice 10-12' spot up jumper. I was floored by all the national attention because I saw him as being O aggressive on the court. Didn't bother hitting the boards. That said, I was told that he turned up burners at a well attended showcase camp this summer and impressed everyone. Hope he realizes that is what it will take in D1. I just have never seen it.
