With Presidents background in basketball, I wish he would have went into that instead of politics. We'd all be better for it. 32 days till take out the trash. Sorry about getting into politics but dubulldog started it.

Does this seem like a risky move for the Drake AD?

After all, isn't a huge part of her job fund raising and isn't this country pretty much split right down the middle?

I'm curious to see how the more conservative DU boosters feel about this.

I know that some of the more conservative DU boosters are real pissed about this.

Not really. A couple of people pointed out the same thing that you did (that it wouldn't go over well with some of the donors). But, nothing too exciting.

I'm not an Obama fan, but it's hard to hold it against anyone for wanting to meet the President. The issue I have is that Iowa gets all the attention is does for national politics when there are certainly areas in greater need of focus that are overlooked. Why we allow Iowa and NH to play the role they do should probably be a little more closely analyzed.
