He sucks ass at the line, the one clear problem in his game

Yeah. He's a fine player but I think at this point he's shooting better from the field than the line!!

Born under a bad sign
I been down since I began to crawl
If it wasn't for bad luck
I wouldn't have no luck at all

Dang! I hate grasping defeat out of the jaws of victory. Weems had a bunny and clanked it. Then a desperation 3 went in. Then an uncontested layup bounced out at the end of OT.

Someone remind me how Lusk is any better than Barry Hinson at this point.....

Our coach won't tell our players to foul up three with 10 seconds left with WVU in the bonus, we can't rebound on the offensive end (That falls on his recruiting), and our PG can't shoot free throws. All that and we foul a lot and don't get to the line much ourselves.

Someone wake me up when the conference tournament starts.

Lusk had been here 9 months.... It isn't his recruiting yet...

But I do agree on the rest...

Complete choke job no matter how you look at it

He could have recruited some players from JUCOs that can rebound. You would think Thomas would get off the bench if he could help at all. At one point late in the game the second chance points were 11-2 in WVU's favor. We have too many guys like Downing, Scheer, Thomas, and usually Copeland who hardly contribute during games. Weems, Patterson, Gulley, and Bizoukas at times are carrying us.

Can we give Lusk a year or two before we start comparing him to Hinson? Please? West Virginia is a good team, and while I didn't see the game, it sounds like this was simply a collapse job by the Bears and Lusk didn't shoot the free throws. That said, it's a bit premature to throw out the Barry comparisons. Missouri State will be fine. Get a good night sleep, relax and put this game behind you, the conference season starts in less than a week.

Besides, I hear Lusk is a very nice guy, great interviewer, a great ambassador for the Valley and smokes a mean rack of ribs. There is no comparison to Hinson.
There are three rules that I live by, never get less than 12 hours sleep, never gamble with a guy who has the same first name as a city and never get involved with a chick with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Stick to that and everything else is gravy!

If you weren't an igit you'd know that coaches have different ideas on what to do in that situation. That said, if I knew that the kid with ball in his hands was a 54% FT shooter, I'd foul. (Never mind that WV managed to get offensive boards off of missed FTs during the game). Mr Fish, you are sounding like MR NEGATIVE again (when don't you???????). Your complaint about recruiting is 100% laughable. Take something to redeem your brain.

We have absolutely choked two games against BCS teams so far this year that we should have won.

Lusk didn't tell his players to foul when WVU was in the 1-and-1 tonight with 10 seconds left and we were up three. He didn't bother to recruit anyone who can rebound, and hasn't done that for next year either. More soft centers who float around the three point line.

Who cares???? Even if they make the first FT and miss the second, the worse thing that could happen would be a put back to tie the game. Hell let them make both, get the ball inbounds, and make them foul you and the game is over. Apparently Lusk's "idea" in that situation didn't work out too well, did it? You clowns can blame the referees freely, so I'm turning it around and blaming the coach.(Where it ultimately belongs by the way)

Why haven't we addressed our bad offensive rebounding for next year with recruiting? You guys are the recruiting experts after all. Fill us in. I don't think a skinny 6'10" three-point shooting center is really going to help us next year.

MSU looked a lot better than I thought they were going to be. The way they lost creates some doubt about what's going on in Springfield.

"Winners" hit layups when the game is on the line. 2 chances at layups with the game on the line makes one wonder if the Bears really believe in themselves. This loss seems to be more a factor of where the Bears' heads are at, and less on where their physical abilities are at.
