With all the love the Mountain West has been getting over the past year, this is truly surprising that WSU would be ranked but not San Diego State, or perhaps New Mexico, or BYU as is the case in many preseason polls. Its good pub of course, but otherwise you can't get too excited over preseason rankings. We'll have to finish the end of the season polls at least this high or higher to meet expectations.
Certainly would be nice, and better yet if another valley team ended up in the rankings as well. I suspect MSU and CU will be at least getting some votes to begin with.

Feel bad for their program. That's going to be two straight years in which they could have been in the elite and Hummel's knee goes out. I also feel really bad for the kid. Just when you thought you did everything you could to heal the first time, you end up blowing the surgical repair job again.

im sure there are times when he thinks back to WSU... like times when there are very few supporters coming to the games, WSU is doing better then his team, and the stress of trying to compete in the Little 12.
