Of course the UNI fan thinks everyone is overreacting when his team got late Christmas gift wrapped in gold.

So WSU and CU are single digits seeds now and they should be penalized for that? Uh, no. The Valley has been the elite conference of this event and we continually taking it from behind on it. With LBSU, Creighton won't be able to move up a seed line from this event yet they can definitely move downward with it. Same with WSU.

Nevada gets Iona which basically mean WSU was behind the pecking order to the 70 RPI Wolfpack. Creighton gets rewarded for a barely 50ish RPI team that is getting credit for playing a great OOC schedule but got beat by everybody noteworthy in it.

ESPN would rather have 1 Ultimate game rather than 3 or 4 really good games. And we as a conference took the hit for it.

UNI 57 vs. VCU 84 | -27
MSU 79 vs. ODU 124 | -45
Drake 97 vs. New Mexico St. 90 | +7

24 spots higher on average than our opponents. Drake is the only one who doesn't have an RPI complaint. Absolutely bull. How WSU gets snubbed to play Davidson over ORU or Iona, forget Murray St. is unbelievable.

This better be the absolute last year for the Valley in this event. Watch them build a good slate of teams next year.

Hard to get games against "better" RPI opponents, when nearly every good team in the event is an MVC team.

wrong. They should be getting the best games possible to get a lower seed. This does nothing for either Creighton or WSU. Neither one got a decent game. at least give one of them a good game. geez.

So you are saying if WSU loses to Davidson, it won't hurt their at-large chances? It probably puts them on the bubble. For Creighton, it would hurt our seeding a couple slots probably. If we beat LBSU? I doubt our seeding would change at all.

I don't think WSU losing at Davidson would hurt their at-large chances much more than a loss at Murray or Iona would have.

I hope Murray State loses a game before they play SMC, everyone except the teams involved would lose interest then...

Definitely. The difference is that Murray St. is a lock for the tournament. Davidson is not. You want to have wins over teams that will be in the tourney.

What would be so hard to get a REAL bracket buster's event with the MVC, MWC, C-USA, A-10 and CAA creating a pool of teams to make matchups on? Playing in the same pool with conferences like the Southland conference is a joke.

Iona I can agree but losing to Murray State, a ranked team and undefeated would not hurt WSU if they lost but would be a big win and seal their at-large if they won. A win at Davidson does not do that whatsoever.

Right, I agree. I never said the matchups were good, I just said some are overreacting just a little bit.

And I would disagree that LBSU is not a good game for CU.

IF LBSU goes 6-0 the rest of the way in the BW there RPI goes down a little (high 20's I think). If they lose one it stays under 50 (mid 40's). If they lose 2 it goes over 50. This is not a guess this is per websites that simulate results and projected RPI.
