After perusing through the Indiana State board, anything less than a Top 3 finish would be considered disappointing. Jake Kelly got screwed out of all-conference honors and it appears everyone's out to get Indiana State.

The Sycamores have definitely proven that they are way past a play-in preseason ranking.

I have trouble seeing MSU winning the Valley with 7 healthy bodies other than newcomers. That's gonna result in a lot of reliance on newcomers, which is always dicey, and a worn out team before the season is over.

SIU is going to get back to in-your-face physical D with a load of first-year JuCos? It usually takes JuCo's a year to adjust to D1 and reach their full effectiveness. JuCo ball isn't known for its stellar D. That much adjustment to a player's game takes some time and coaching. I don't think there's enough time this year for SIU to successfully pick up a traditional SIU defensive game. There's just too much that has to be taught to too many people.

Demetric Williams might not be considered a "proven" point guard, but in the last 1/3 or so of the season, he was getting substantially more minutes, running the offense effectively, and minimizing the drop off in the offense or in overall production when he played.

I thought the review was based more on unsubstantiated opinion than any type of actual review of the situations at the schools. There are a lot of little details that affect the league and I just didn't wee any evidence of knowing them or making any attempt to find them.

Funny, because a lot of "jimmy juice" sippers believe there is a conspiracy against bu. Now we have two teams that everyone is out to get!?! Wow, talk about your grassy knoll in the Valley.

bu should compete for the top three this year, with all they return, but we still have jimmy "clue" les calling the shots so anything can happen there. bu types, relax...it's not where you start, it's where you finish that matters.

FYI--there are not a LOT of people among the group who feel there is an conspiracy about BU. Unless you call 2 or 3 a large number.
