Yeah, maybe the Bears have the best shot. Maybe Drake would be 9-6 if Simons didn't have Mono and maybe UNI is peeking at the right time...

There are six really good teams in this conference with less than impressive records and one of them has shown difficulty closing out close games.

Actually I think ALL of the teams 3 to 6 in the MVC have had difficulty closing out close games.

Especially the Panthers. Assuming they even show up to the game and put up a fight.
[Insert snappy comeback]

The replay showed there was no flop involved either.

Trolling on ESPN's chat today with Jay Bilas and saw this....don't know if WSU can get to a 3 though.

Gregg (Wichita, Ks)

Highest possible seed for my Shockers? Seems like a lot of the media, and the coaches poll isn't sold quite yet.

I think Wichita State could get a 3-seed if they keep winning and take the title in St. Louis. That is a really good team, and the best mid-major in the country.

Seth Davis likes WSU chances in the tournament as of now.

Lunardi's new bracket is out, not much has changed.

The mock selection exercise going on yesterday and today (put on by the NCAA) has WSU as a 4-seed (16 overall) and CU as a 9 (36 overall). Additionally, they have Missouri St. getting the auto-bid, it appears.

Palm's bracket is out. Very favorable for the Valley as he has both teams in Nashville and winnable first and second round games. I would hope Creighton and WSU fans would root for each other?

Here is the bracket that the mock selection committee came up with.

When they do this mock selection committee, they always throw in a couple of upsets in tournaments for the auto-bids.
