I am more impressed by the 0.79 ERA for the pitching staff for the weekend than I am the 62-3 combined score against an overmatched team playing for the first time this season.
The Shockers team ERA for the season so far is 2.15. Take out 2 innings of knuckleheadedness (the 2nd against Texas State when 3 walks, a WP, a failed pickoff, and 2 infield singles that should have been scored errors and the 12th against Santa Clara when 5 walks and a comedy of errors led to 5 more earned) and the team ERA would be a miniscule 0.89.
The demise of the WSU baseball team may be a bit premature.
