Congrats to the redbirds! Wilkins did a great job of neutralizing Stutz. I had the distinct advantage of working nights, waking up to see the final second of the game, and then watching on DVR...I was STILL on the edge of my seat for the last 10 minutes. No doubt this game stings, but again, congrats to ISU.

As to shockernet, I haven't been there yet, but we just lost a close game and how we chose to vent amongst friends after an emotional loss doesn't exactly speak to our fan base. We still have great fans and duesch bags. Soar losers and and spirited competitors.

Good luck to Ill St tomorrow...CU looks REALLY good at the moment.

You're correct Wufan. I know there are a lot of good fans for WSU and I love the way they play. Hall is my favorite opposing player in the league becuase of how he plays, although he was not very good today.

Your coach's comments and behavior though leave a lot to be desired. Tough loss for him I know, but he needs to lose with more class than he showed today.

Wufan - thinking about it I agree with you that for the most part that what is said on Shockernet or Bearnation or any of the MVC fan boards is their business. But still it just seemed like such a clear majority that are convinced they lost because of the officiating. Not just one or two. It just seems delusional. But losing is a bitter pill and sometimes things are said in the heat of the moment.

My main problem would be if Marshall really said that? It's just ridiculous if he did.

But regardless of any of that nonsense I'll still be pulling for WSU in the big dance. No doubt they were the best team in the MVC this year.

I just listened to the replay of the press conference and Marshall never said "The valley get what they want, if they don't want us in the championship game, then they got what they want". He maybe said it on their radio post-game, but he did not say it in the interview room. Sounds like maybe some Shocker fans heard what they wanted to hear. However, their coach did not say that.

He did talk about seeing some "strange things" and definitely rolled his eyes a lot, but I'm okay with that.

ISU played a hard fought game! Congrats on the W. Gave my tickets for the championship game to a red bird. Good luck vs Creighton!

Had the game recorded and just watched it so I'm late to the party. Skipped through all the commercials and the halftime. Had the sound on mute so I didn't have to hear all the whining from the crowd and the meaningless comments from the announcers. Did have to witness all the coach/player whining, however. Anyway, congratulations to the Redbirds -- Great Win!

Wow, I never imagined the redbirds could take it to the Shox physically for the entire game! Congrats on a great win and great effort. Redbirds answered the question, who's 3rd best MVC team? Illinois St Redbirds!

Shox have no one to blame but themselves and need to learn from today's physical experience before the dance starts.

Good luck tomorrow Redbirds!
