Very, very fugly. With only 8 scholarship players available, the last thing Drake needed was a whistle-happy crew.....and that's exactly what they got. Three Drake players with 2 fouls before halftime.

Simons with 24, Rice with 19 (all in the 2nd half).....Clarke with 14 rebounds. Rice only played about 20 minutes total due to foul trouble, and some truly ridiculous calls. Actually was nice to see Phelps get T'd up when he'd seen enough incompetence from the zebras.

Effort was good....execution was not. Drake should have been up 15-20 by midway in the first half. As it was, they were up 19-9 when Clarke missed wide open dunk on a 4-on-1 break.....it's like the Bulldogs deflated after that and were down by halftime.

bulldogs got outhustled on the defensive end almost the entire night. D+ on that effort in my book.

Drake will play at Rice on Saturday night.

A healthy motivated Drake team should beat Rice even on the road. Shorthanded, uninspired may struggle.
