That's not Jans. He's considered to be THE #1 assistant coach in America ready to jump to a HC job.

Chris Jans has paid his dues and as Associate Head Coach he always draws the scout for the big games. It is time. Like Tad Boyle on Turgeon's staff, losing Jans would be a blow to Marshall's staff but I don't think it would crater the deal like Boyle's departure did.

As a WSU fan I'd love to hear GM say that he is not interested in any other job and will DEFINITELY retire at WSU, but financially that wouldn't be very smart on his part. I'm not worried about him going to USC. I think it would take a much bigger carrot than that.

I love how EVERY statement Marshall makes will be torn apart here. Oh well, haters gonna hate.

I personally LOVE that quote and the fact that he gets so pissed at being called a mid-major.

YOU TELL 'EM COACH! AND SCREW ANYONE WHO WHINES ABOUT WHAT YOU SAY.

It is kind of cool the way he was sticking up for mid majors against the BCS programs though. Based on the statements in that article he seems to kind of relish the challenge of being a "non BCS" program. If I was a WSU fan that would give me some hope he won't bolt.

He is at a mid major. Until you are at a school where you can finish .500 in conference and still make the NCAA's he will be a Mid-Major coach. Sorry Mr. Marshal but it's just the facts.
