They don't care about the overlap because the tickets are already sold, the checks have been cashed and the money is in the bank. Who cares if the ticket holders don't show up, the fans of the teams at the site will be there, so there will still be some crowd.

Good luck to the Jays today, Duke losing Friday doesn't help any as there would have been at least some portion of the crowd that was actively rooting against Carolina other than the Omaha contingent had they won.

CBS and the NCAA determined which games would fit into the 8 Sunday time slots on Friday evening after the games concluded. All that was known was the times of the games, but they had not been assigned to a regional site or game until the matchups were known. Maybe we can all agree to focus on the game now.
