Your Shox almost always pass the "eye test". They almost always pass the "money test". They almost always pass the "atmosphere test". But, as far as the actual games played on the basketball court....

Congrats on your "coaching contract" and "eye test" banners that you probably hang in your arena every year though. ;)

Ouch!!!

WSU is paying fair market value for a coach that is in high demand. If they don't, then they will be looking for a new coach every 4 or 5 years like some of our Valley brothers. I'm just glad that the athletic department has the capabilities to pay a coach they want to retain. I don't see football ever being a viable option at WSU unless a booster comes with a very big donation to get it off the ground. Would have to be tens of millions of dollars.

Fair question. WSU averaged 27 wins per season over the past three seasons. Next question.

According to RealTimeRPI.com:

WSU has three RPI top 50 wins over the past three years.

UNI had three top 50 wins this year and nine over the last three years.

Evansville has five top 50 wins over the same stretch.

Let's calm down the domination talk.

How many teams from the Valley where in the top 50 RPI over those 3 years? This year, it was Creighton and WSU, so obviously in league WSU has only two chances to have top 50 wins.

11-12 - two MVC teams (WSU, CU)
10-11 - one (MSU)
09-10 - two (UNI, WSU)

If you eliminate top-50 wins against MVC teams over those three years the totals look like this:
UNI: 6
WSU: 1
UE: 1

Nobody from Wichita said anything about domination. We said we paid our coach a lot of money. We were called failures. I responded with a win total. What is the problem?

So the last two years there have been 5 spots in the league that have been a top 50 RPI team and WSU was 2 of those spots. Hard to play and beat ourselves in those games. WSU beat Creighton this year and UNI once in 09-10, so your figures are off. What are the SOS over those same years? I would bet WSU is the top team or two each year.
