I never made any claims of how good he was, or that he was going to play a lot of minutes. He likely was not going to see many minutes, if any at all next year, and the same thing goes for Bohannon.

So you are saying AJ is not very good? I would take "2.0" as good or better than AJ. Maybe it is just me.

Gotcha. He's a poor mans AJ, not the new and improved version. Not sure how I missed that.

I didn't mean it as "he's going to be better than AJ". I meant it as "he could be the next AJ".

AJ is a player that that blossomed in his 3rd year in the program, and that is what I would have hoped for of Lyle.

This is not worth a separate thread, so I'll put it in here. To the absolute lack of surprise of about every WSU fan, James Anacreon has announced he will be leaving WSU next year. Anacreon played 80 minutes last year and his position has more competition next year. It might be noted that he was out of position in 79 of those minutes, and in the other 60 seconds he was going downcourt for a dunk after a steal.

Just like pretty much every MVC recruit, no one really knows if they will pan out until they see some significant game time. And just like every fan base, UNI was excited about their new recruits, including Lyle. But out of the 6 freshman last year Lyle carried the lowest ranking and was not highly touted.

Personally, I'm not surprised. We signed a big class last year and uneven classes have a way of evening themselves out. My guess is he saw the writing on the wall and realized he was not going to see a lot of playing time during his career at UNI.
