I don't think any team has been dominant in the Valley in recent years. Can that be an option? Dominant is what Gonzaga has been doing to the WCC winning the regular season title and most tourney titles since 2001.

COMPLETELY agree with this statement, i wouldnt consider any one team to be the dominant team in the Valley, especially in recent years. :+1:

Last 3 years MVC record
WSU: 42-12
UNI: 34-20

Shall we expand to last 10 years?

Last 10 years MVC record
WSU: 112-68
UNI: 107-73

Not dominance, but one team has clearly been a step better on average.

According to Creighton's Media guide, over the last 11 years (not counting this year), the conference records are as follows:

Creighton 135-63 .682
Southern Illinois 129-69 .652
Northern Iowa 109-89 .551
Wichita State 109-89 .551
Missouri State 108-90 .545
Bradley 91-107 .460
Illinois State 90-108 .455
Drake 83-115 .419
Indiana State 71-127 .359
Evansville 65-133 .328

So after this year, WSU moves into third place in winning percentage behind SIU and Creighton.

Here are post season bids over that same time frame (this includes the crappy tourney's that start with C):

Creighton 11
So. Illinois 7
Wichita State 7
Northern Iowa 6
Bradley 5
Missouri State 5
Illinois State 4
Indiana State 3
Drake 2
Evansville 1

Add one where appropriate.

What I think those statistics will tell you is that Creighton has had to most sustained success since 2000, but hardly "dominant." It also tells you just how good SIU was before their recent collapse. They built up quite the lead.

One Million Four Hundred Eighty-two Thousand Dollars a Year!

One Hundred Twenty-three Thousand Five Hundred Dollars a Month!

Twenty-eight Thousand Five Hundred Dollars a Week!

Fifty-four Thousand Eight Hundred Eighty-nine Dollars per Win!

It's a great day to be a Shocker!

P.S.

I don't consider us a part of the MVC anymore. We are more like an independent that schedules a bunch of MVC teams during the regular season. It's impossible trying to make a program comparison between Wichita State and other Valley schools like SIU-C, NIU, BJ-U, etc. etc... resources are just too disparate.
