these matchups really suck but I guess there is no choice since you cannot play the same team twice during the 4 year challenge. UNI at UNLV is probably the premier matchup.

Thrilled that UNI got UNLV. We have a great non conference schedule for this year.

Dissapointed Redbirds got Wyoming. We should have gotten SDSU. Boise St. at Creighton isn't that great either. You would think both teams would get better matchups.

How do the top three teams in the MVC get matched up against the worst three teams in the Mountain West? Who the hell figures these things out? That is complete lunacy. You have the teams that are going to be needing every RPI advantage and games against top 50 RPI teams as they can get next year and you stick them with the worst three teams from the other league. HUGE dissapointment and yet another in a growing list of stupid moves by Elgin.

This is BS. The teams that are predicted to be the best in the valley get crap teams.

They need to set these games for a single weekend or other 2 days like the Big 10/ACC. I'm guessing there's a lot of schedule conflicts that drove the top teams away from each other. None of the top MWC teams are getting high value games either.

In fact looking at it, San Diego St is the main MWC prize but they're playing mid-November when everyone else is around December 1? Illinois St is playing on December 4, is it possible Wyoming was the only team available? UNI/UNLV all the way in mid-December? Creighton playing November 28 right after Thanksgiving? When all the top teams are spread out like this, of course you have a bad end result.

The deal is that you can't play the same team twice in a four year period. Kind of a dumb rule if you asked me because you're bound to end up with games of little interest if you aren't allowed to create good ones.

That's one of the trade offs needed to get coaches and ADs to play in events like this. Some folks don't like to see good teams too often.
