I welcome criticism from Bradley, Drake and Indiana State. They understand what it means to be relevant on a national stage.

No MVC member has been to the Elite 8 in the last 30 years. Some have been closer than others.

"Nationally relevant". Care to define that? I'd think that making the NCAA tournament several times and having one of the more memorable NCAA tournament wins classifies as "relevant", but maybe not.

I forgot what banner UNI received last year and the year before.
USA Today Coaches Top 25 Poll Conference Breakdown:

MVC: 1
WCC: 1
Atlantic Ten: 1
MWC: 1
Big East: 1

The Big East is Big Time.

I think it's nice that your sweet 16 makes you feel grown up. Good luck to Panther nation in 2013!

Actually it was an "NIT 2nd Round" banner. You guys should know, as there are plenty of them hanging in your gym.

It used to be "come back when you can make the NCAA tournament". Then it was "come back when you can make it multiple times". Then it was "come back when you make the Sweet 16". Check, check, and check.

But I guess even thats not good enough anymore. Maybe we'll just have to make a run to the final four. Will I be allowed to talk trash at that point?

If you make the Elite 8, as the first member to do so in since the Wichita State Shockers in 1981, then you will have earned the right to talk smack about hanging banners. I will also give you a big Congrats! Good luck this year!

Check my bank account? Seriously? If that isn't the very definition of little man syndrome then I don't know what is. Shaking my head. Literally. Right now.

Also it stinks that the MBCA would willingly invite him into this state. Especially when Lusk was not invited. If Missouri high school coaches want a lesson on how to gag in St. Louis they should invite Quin Schneider or something.

"WSU will finish closer to 9th than 5th."

"MSU will be a top half team."

"Chiefs will win the AFC West."

I'm shaking my head right now.

This is funny. In my mind, I just had Casey pictured as a 5'5" type of guy. I just may be right and you might be an expert on this subject. :bounce:
