Nice solid win for the Aces, glad to see Colt back.

Okay Bears it's your turn. The Aces took care of them in Evansville, you get to go to Huntsville to play Alabama A&M, I'm sure that will be a hornets nest.

Nothing off the table, no pet programs spared, it's time for the government to quit living off of caviar and Champaign, time to choke down some peanut butter and jelly, Ramen for dessert.

And I hope the Aces win.

Not to be overly political but after this last election, I think the country likes being on the government teet.

Dan Godfried turned into a great player, but as a freshman he could not run the floor without tripping over his own feet. I actually saw him do this once. The Whale was big but he had a lot of deficiencies and didn't develop until late in his career. Others who were 6-7 or 6-8 were really scoring forwards. Mock has good hands, can rebound on both ends of the court, already has a nice jump shot with good mechanics and ball rotation and is very athletic for his size. I expect him to domimate the Valley his Junior and Senior years.

I really hope you aren't serious. The kid has a chance to be something special, but I don't see how you can call him the best ever at this point when he has only failed to have more than one basket in half of the games he has played and had 4 fouls in 5 minutes against the only true good front court he has played.

Instead of slamming the post why not disprove it. What other big man has UE had that is better 6 games into his college career? I can't think of one.

UE 71,

I know that UE is a very fine Methodist university.

Surely it offers a course in logic. If so, please consider it.

You have a player, who does not have any history of basketball achievement. Yet you claim he will dominate the Valley, during his junior and senior years.

Have I got all of this correctly?

Last year, excluding the Butler game where he only played 2 minutes due to mono, through his first 6 games played, Ryan Sawvell averaged 5.3 points and 2.8 rebounds while playing 17 minutes per game while still recovering. Mock's numbers are not head and shoulders better at 4.7 pounds, 3.8 rebounds in 13.7 minutes.

"Another stellar performance by a SWAC team."

I watched the game. Their players gave it their all and competed as well as they could.

"Alabama A&M did what SWAC teams do"

The played a basketball game.

"drop their pants, bend over, get a check."

That check helps to fund the college education of many other students.

"and drop UE's RPI by about 30 spots at the end of the year."

Who cares? If we can beat some good teams, things balance out.

"It is a tragic shame these schools get to be classified as D1 schools."

"These schools:" Location? Size? Financial committment? Affiliation? Or, another factor?

"I can name 4 or 5 division 2 schools that mVC teams played in the noncon that are better than ANY SWAC team."

Anyone familiar with D1 and D2 basketball understand that the lower 20-40 D1 schools and the top 20-30 D2 schools are of the same caliber. So, stronger D2 teams will beat a weaker D1 team. Happens all the time. So what?

There is no difference between basketball and life. Give both your best and ignore the "fans" on the sideline.

"These schools" = SWAC schools. I'd take the time to explain how pronouns work in the English language, but there is no need to subject the entire board to an English lesson that is needed for only one person.

Stop parsing speech for perceived slights and you'll have a much more enjoyable existence. Stop race baiting and you'll make this board a much better place. Stop playing the victim and accomplishments will be much more rewarding.
