Apparently Middle Tennessee & Florida Atlantic are leaving Sun Belt for Conference USA to replace the teams the Big East nabbed....

Any MVFC schools want to jump to the Sun Belt (I don't know why one would want that, but whatever....) there is now space available...

Wow! I was really exciting about moving up to either the Belt or CUSA but the Sun Belt is a shadow of what it once was. And CUSA is basically just some old Sun Belt teams and the remaining Big East undesirables.

I wouldn't reture a call from the Sun Belt commissioner if I was Moats. And it CUSA even called I would thing really long and hard considering how we were jerked around before. I think our future is tied to the Missouri Valley and keeping everyone together at this point.

Yeah, you were jerked around. Not talked to, not offered, not discussed. Its perfectly logical that you would have hard feelings about it...

Look pal, you don't know what I know. Okay? Let's leave it at that. I don't want to rehash the events of last summer. Neither does the rest of this board. I probably shouldn't have inserted my bitterness in that post but it is 100% accurate.

Moving on...I wonder who the Sun Belt would realistically go after now. App State? GA Southern? Central Arkansas maybe? It is funny that their league is collapsing and their commissioner is the same Benson guy that was the commissioner of the WAC prior to this fall. Maybe don't hire him.

Was double secret probation involved?? Maybe a sealed envelope or two?? UNI, Illinois State, NDSU, and probably SIU are all above MSU in the jump up pecking order. You guys are a financial and competitive dumpster fire right now, especially in your football program. You're holding on to TA simply because you can't find the money to buy out one year of his middle of the pack MVFC salary.

Anyway, if Appy and GA Southern want to go, this is their ticket.

You don't know anything. That could not be more clear.

No kidding you don't. Because when that happens, it makes you look like a delusional lunatic.

All of what what you said above is laughable... TA was retained partly because of his half million buyout but mostly because the team showed some fight towards the end of the year (aside from the UNI stomping). With all of that said none of the MVFC teams you mentioned are in a better position with NDSU and UNI being in the worst spot. It is not about competing it is about Media Market's and ad revenue. Springfield, Mo offers more of those then any of the leagues counter parts. As for Casey, he has sources don't know who since he is not here employee at MSU and from all my conversations there was no envelope, and outside of conversations with multiple conferences at various time MSU was not actively soliciting conferences. President Smart said yesterday, we are not looking to leave The Valley, we would have to be wanted for us to make a decision to move on.

More than Des Moines, or Wichita, or omaha? I doubt it.

I disagree. At some level it has to be about competing, moreso at our level than the SuperConference level.
