Games in the Valley - 11/16/2010

Northeastern (1-0) @ Southern Illinois (0-1) - 9:00 AM, ESPN (ESPN Tip-Off Marathon - a.k.a. 24 hours of college basketball)
Arkansas State (0-1) @ Missouri State (1-0) - 6:00 PM (in Knoxville, Tennessee) (Preseason NIT)
Northern Illinois (0-1) @ Bradley (1-0) - 7:05 PM, ESPN3
Texas Southern (0-1) @ Wichita State (0-0) - 7:05 PM
Coe College (Division III) @ Northern Iowa (0-1) - 7:05 PM

Will the professors cancel class from 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM to allow students to attend the basketball game at Southern Illinois?

Discuss.

Big week in the valley. Be interesting to see how the Bears play on Tuesday, hopefully they aren't looking ahead to Tennessee on Wednesday. I hope we can jump up early and get a lot of our bench involved early. Got to keep Weems, Leonard, and Mallet rested for a busy busy week.

With minimal research, Arkansas State seems like a halfway decent squad. The Preseason NIT seems like a nice tournament even if Missouri State doesn't get to New York.

Not expecting a win from SIU, hopefully the game is competitive.

Bradley, WSU, and UNI should all win easily.

The Coe Kohawks leads the all time series with the Panthers 17-16, but they haven't met since 1951-52. Coe last beat Iowa State Teachers College in the 1939-40 season.

Ark St will be a tough game especially on a neutral court. They return 4 starters from a 2nd place Sun Belt team and played Ole Miss tough the other night. Bears should win but I think it will be close.

Could be the biggest non-conference game for MSU. Lose it and you probably miss a chance at a 2nd BCS team on the season. Win it and have a chance for the Garden in NYC

Well, the Valley should win the four remaining games today. Rough start to the OOC, but the top 4-5 preseason MVC teams have yet to lose (or play, in some cases), so nothing to be too worried about just yet.

I would like to forget about the Syracuse game as well, or maybe you're now thinking UNI is a bottom half team?

In any event, your main point is correct. They sky is not falling... Yet.

Just glossed right over it. Never happened as far as I'm concerned.
