You got a point there, but Valleychamp needs to do some research if he is going to be so definate about something.

Excuse me? What exactly did I say that was not definite?

McDermott leads Early in nearly every single statistical category, a few of which by significant margins, thats a fact.

Don't they only use MVC stats for POY and Valley awards?

Do you even know who the "they" is in your question?

There are no rules. "They" can vote for whomever they want and consider whatever stats they want to consider.

Further, I'd add that completely ignoring the noncon is stupid, especially when Creighton played a tougher noncon.

No kidding.

What did Colt Ryan put up against Creighton last year in Omaha? About 44 points or so? Yet there weren't Evansville fans calling for him to get POY.

Thank goodness "the most insecure fanbase in the league" has you two gentlemen to issue our comeuppance.

My guess is that you don't see the irony there. My second guess is that me elucidating the irony would have no effect on you.

There is no way a front-runner for national POY won't be voted POY in his own conference. If Dougie gets injured or his production somehow falls off significantly, then maybe.

Hmm, interesting distortion of facts. Might I submit the following:

Creighton non-con SOS rated a 6 out of ten on toughness scale. Shockers rated a 7 out of 10.

Submit it all you want, but its based on a preseason guess and therefore is completely irrelevant..

Current ACTUAL SOS* are as follows:

Creighton: 43
Wichita St: 102

* NOTE+ Current SOS include a few MVC games, but I doubt there is much difference between the two schools on conference schedule so far. I can't find anything that only has noncon SOS)

Let this thread serve as a reminder to "the most insecure fanbase in the league" as to what happens when they dare nominate a challenger to The Doug: CU fans cannot help but trip over themselves defending His honor. Because one internet thread in all of the internet that should dare besmirch the crown is one too many!

The very model of security.
