I could see UConn dropping down in football, but I think the best fit, if there is one, for Cincy, is the Big 12.
There are three rules that I live by, never get less than 12 hours sleep, never gamble with a guy who has the same first name as a city and never get involved with a chick with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Stick to that and everything else is gravy!

Maybe Cincy approached the Big 12 and the Big 12 doesn't want them. I dunno, the more I about Cincy, I just can't see them as a good fit at all, almost anywhere. They probably are one of the few Big East schools that was praying that the Big East didn't implode. I don't think any Big Six conferences want to let them park football only, so I can't see them in this league. Tough situation for Cincy.

UConn, on the other hand, is new to football and may be willing to drop it or drop down to 1-AA. I would think the MVFC and just about everybody else would love to have UConn.

Not that this really matters to the MVC, but some will find it interesting that UMKC is now leaving the Summit for the WAC.

This is not making sense to me. My theories:

1) This is a false rumor going around, or

2) There's dominoes from the C7/MVC/Horizon/WAC/Summit that are about to fall, and for whatever reason, we're seeing one of the last dominoes before one of the first dominoes.

This makes zero sense for UMKC. I literally cannot find a reason, unless they think the competition is that much worse in the WAC.

Apparently UMKC wants to spend a ton more on travel to play in a league that offers more or less the same level of competition.

This makes no sense unless they know the Dakota schools are going somewhere.

Are we replacing Creighton with NDSU, SDSU, and a mystery team??

We are going to need to get the MAC on the phone...

everyone talks about adding the dakota territorial schools to the MVC, sorry for those who want them, but I just can't see it happening. It adds bigtime air travel costs for all the olympic sports teams at nearly all MVC schools. Right now we're a bus league, except for the major sports of course (basketball).

I will be shocked if this EVER happens. We need to look at adding schools who are established in basketball.

Another message board I read has a guy who is very connected to the latest when it comes to conference realignment, and has been on top of things (a head of the public rumors) for about 3 years. He has confirmed the UMKC move and is a big proponent of at least 1, if not 2 or 3 of the Dakota's to the MVC (Not that he wants it to happen, but that is what he is hearing). to replace Creighton and likely 1 or 2 others from what he is hearing

Him coming out with this rumors is not good my friends, not good at all based on his reputation and what I've watched him come out with first (or close too) and be right.
