Please, fill me in on the promotions. I think I saw that you could buy a ticket to the women's game vs Southern Illinois and get a ticket to the men's game for $5. Is that the one? Because only a self-loathing social OutKast is going to pay to watch a Missy Tiber-coached basketball team.

I know. Coach Epps seems like a fine coach. UE women are above .500 in the Valley for the first time in like 4 seasons.

Missy is the coach of SIU's women, and has been disappointing through three seasons.

Since this was our Super Bowl and all, I took it upon myself to start the downtown riot. Instead I just end up looking like a jackass when all the gray hairs refuse to join in, apparently unaware of significance of this game. So if you see video of some drunk fat guy on the news just ignore it. And no I wasn't trying to hump the police car, it just appeared that way when no one would help me flip it.

Just some thoughts:

This was the best game Egidijius Mockevicius has played for Evansville - certainly among the games I've seen at Ford Center.

I think the officiating was mostly fair, although it is unfortunate that Cotton fouled out. He and Van Fleet were the most impressive players to me. Hard to be surprised by the Cleanthony Early after the high praise he's had on the site

Evansville has been playing much better-than-usual defense this year compared to the other years Marty has coached.

Wow! Evansville played a great game! I liked the look of the team; it has more color, athleticism than I remember from year's past. And you won't believe this but I am being honest when I tell you that I always thought Colt Ryan was white. Now that I found out he is black (or blackish) I respect him even more. This shows you how much I know about Valley teams.

We had a good run considering we were without Carl Hall. Today we got beat by a good team (on the road). Now we get two home games to right the ship and get back to our winning ways (with Carl Hall back! Yipee!)
