Wow, pressing and calling timeouts and getting s*** for not putting in the walkons?! I was going to come here and congratulate UNI for being the best team that has come to the Clink this year. Now I'll just say FU.

I think it was more taking the layup with 30 seconds on the shot clock instead of pulling the ball out and winding a little time down. It isn't a huge deal, but just screamed to me I need more stats to get POY.

BTW I am never a fan of being down 10 with 30 seconds in the game and taking timeouts.

I think he was doing it as payback for UNI not recruiting him out of high school.

CU is definitely in the upper tier of the teams we've played. Louisville is the only team we have played that is clearly better and UNLV is almost a one man show with Bennet.

The thing that would scare the daylights out of me as a CU fan is if you get into the tournament, GE gets into foul trouble early and you have a night where you only shoot 30% from three. That is the recipe for getting beat by an inferior team. Doug is phenomenal, a great player, but gets so much of his by playing off other guys that it only takes an off night by two guys to make you guys incredibly vulnerable.

That said, if you play like you did last night, the sky might just be the limit for you.

I would actually think it is a strength for Creighton that it would take an off-night for at least TWO guys for them to be vulnerable. A bigger concern from my standpoint is that Mac seems to be falling into his 6.5-7 player rotation that wore down the UNI teams of '05 and '06 before the NCAAs. Seems like Creighton has plenty of talent to be playing 10 deep. I liked what I saw from Artino last year and was surprised that he hadn't been playing more this year-and he came out and had a very good game in relief last night.

Take the damn compliments. You should be happy you extended a lead without the three point shot. It shows versatility.

I thought UNI played a good game and I agree with your coach, Koch played a great game. I think that is the most aggressive I've ever seen him down low.

The return trip to Ceder Falls is going to be another rough and tumble game. Good luck until then.

If every post player was called for every offensive foul, all would foul out. You can't complain about Gregory backing his guy down when your posts and every post who plays the game does the same thing. Watch the game again, Koch extends his arm against Wragge's chest pushing him back. That's going to get you an offensive call everytime you have a competent official calling the game. And in case you haven't heard yet - DOUGIE DOESN'T TRAVEL

Check you facts before making stupid stat-padding claims. Doug scored 7 points in the last FIVE minutes and change. A lay-up, the dunk and three free throws. Don't foul and don't press if you want the other team to quit jamming the ball down your throat.

I didn't mind the fouling. It was Jacobson calling a timeout after each Creighton made basket when there was less than two minutes left and a two touchdown lead that made it a bit much IMO.
