Good shooting for the Bulldogs, they are getting things going.

For whatever reason, Bulldogs have been a real tough matchup for Evansville the past 2 seasons.

DU came out extremely sluggish, and fell behind by 10, 21-11, but came back to take the lead just before halftime. Close game until the last few minutes.

Chris Hines led Drake with 21, Ben Simons with 18, Richard Carter with 13 points, 6 assists off the bench.

Colt Ryan with 25 points, but only 4-16 from the field (16-16 from the line).

Drake really impressed me tonight, to be honest. They answered UE's early attempt to take control of the game, their defense seemed to give the Aces far more trouble than any other conference opponent, and they filled it up from behind the arc. Yikes.

DU's game planning was sharp, got them a lot of high quality looks from 3, and on D they seemed to be very effective at denying/disrupting passes to the post.

Ugh, UE went 10 minutes without a FG in the second half, that's a quarter of the game! I did not enjoy listening to this one, but props to Drake for once again stepping it up to gut my Aces in Des Moines.

Here's hoping that, wherever UE and Drake finish, they do not meet up in St Louis!
