If you would have told me the Jays would turn the ball over 14 times, shoot 10 for 17 from the charity stripe, and give up 22 offensive rebounds to the Shockers at Koch Arena - and I would have guessed CU would have lost this game by double digits. Add in the fact that Manigat was nowhere to be found in this game, other that his 5 fouls and those things were too much for the Jays to overcome on the road.
Good thing is that losing this game may help focus the Jays the rest of the way, that's the beauty of it... If CU can avoid a stumble or two through the rest of conference play and take care of the Shockers at home in early March, this game won't come in play to affect CU's seed come tourney time. I feel that this game was more of a statement game for WSU and most definitely proves that the Shockers should and will be in the tourney, and probably an 8-9 seed or "better."
So....Moral Victory?
Moral Victory??? Is there even such a thing?
