Btw, I apologize for the thread derail. I shouldn't have even said anything. This will be the last post I make on this topic.

That's 3 very large paragraphs that continues to diverge from the topic. Way to go ValleyChamp! And 3 paragraphs about one particular poster. A little too much time on your hands as well?

If you think you know who I am, then why is it a constant fixture in your head? Knock yourself out if you think I'm the infamous "Baller". Quite obsessive with this persona huh?

The name change was in regards to the fact that Northern Iowa has been absent of a Valley Championship for a few years. I assume that's how the name was created, correct? Just makes me chuckle to see your name and the amount of games your team seems to be behind the 8-ball with that Championship.

I've read the Panther board every once in a while, even as recent as your big win over SIU the other day. Now, all of a sudden, UNI is in at-large contention again. I just find it humorous that it never dies, simply going back to the toughness of schedule you played, even though you didn't win any games with it. You're a .500 team with an 80-something RPI. Your 4 Valley wins have come against at least 3/4 of the play-in crowd. You have 9 losses. I just get a kick out of the fact that a win over SIU now starts to change things. Now if UNI goes on like a 9-1 tear down the stretch, they are an NCAA team. Firstly, what makes an inconsistent UNI team now all of a sudden seem capable after that kind of run? And secondly, even if that did happen, that still would be leaving you with 10 losses and an RPI in the 40's. Does that really scream at-large to a Valley team?

Well, now you totally derailed the original topic. If you want to discuss more about the weekly UNI at-large episodes, let's do so in another thread.

If you really meant that, you could edit your original posts that derailed the thread to a "nm" and everything would be forgotten.

I doubt that happens.

I watched the first half last night. Here are some in-game scores of the first half.

10:09 mark 18-14 CU
8:36 mark 20-17 CU
7:49 mark 20-22 DU
5:52 mark 23-25 DU
3:45 mark 26-30 DU
3:06 mark 28-32 DU

I kept asking Señora Rio, "How is Drake going to achieve a 16 point half-time lead?"

In the last 3 minutes the lead ballooned to 16 points.

Throughout the first half, CU had way too many TOs and PFs. Very atypical.
#3 scored 17 points.
All 50-50 plays went 100% to DU or it seemed like it.
In the last three minutes, Drake made almost every shot it put up and CU missed almost every shot, when it wasn't turning the ball over or fouling.

I know winning is fun and it raises expectations, but DU fans should not get too excited just yet. CU just had an awful off night.

Believe me when I tell you that no Drake fans are overly excited at this point. Every year, Phelps beats somebody unexpected, and every year he coaches on Thursday night.
