Tipoff at 1 pm est. ISU won the first game in Cedar Falls so we def. need to protect our home court. This UNI doesn't scare me at all but then again....none of the teams we lose to do. I think ISU comes out pissed and runs away with it.

UNI has quietly gotten themselves back into the thick of things. Today is the day that makes them a contender for third or pushes them forever back into the middle of the pack.

Same thing for Ind. St. They win and they have an inside track on third and stay within shouting distance of the top 2. Lose and its a jumbled mess 3-7 the rest of the way.

Someone is going to win at the buzzer, just not sure who. I'll go home team

This completely depends on whether we see the UNI team from the first 4 games of the MVC season or the one we've seen in the last 4. Indiana St. is fully capable of tearing UNI apart if the Panthers go back to inconsistent shooting and lackluster defense. However, if UNI keeps this "swagger" they've been showing lately, they are more than capable of shutting down the Sycs potent duo of Arop and Odum.

Look out for Marc Sonnen above all. If this 57% from 3 continues then UNI takes it. However, UNI could easily go about 1 or 2 for 20 from 3 and ISU makes this a laugher. I highly doubt that's the case but UNI goes the way of it's ability to shoot the 3. It's ability to shoot the 3 goes the way of Sonnen.

James hits a pull up jumper with 3.3 seconds to play to put UNI up 1.

After a time out, Odum dribbles the length of the court and is fouled shooting a three pointer with :00.3 left.
He misses the first, but then makes the next 2.

Indiana State 59
UNI 58
FINAL

Indiana State was 10/11 from the line. Their only miss was Odum's first of 3 free throws.

Odum 16 pts 7 boards 5 assists 2 turnovers

James lead UNI with 15 pts

Please tell me the last century a ref makes that call on a final shot? Clear lean in to get a call. I felt like I was watching pee-wee flag football not a contact sport today, just ticky-tack both ways. But that last call was horrendous.

I think the biggest thing is if you're going to make that call, how do you not also call a flagrant for that foul against James? There was no attempt to go for the ball, Odum was preventing an easy lay-up. You even had a chance to look at it closely. Unreal.

Credit Jake Odum though, he is so crafty and knows exactly how to draw a foul.
