Seemed like the Salukis had a pretty big night last Tuesday. That win took something "good" to happen.

Yeah, Lowery almost had it turned around.

Seriously?

Where were you on Wednesday after the WSU win? And then they only fall by 1 against another 1st place team on the road today?

Your timing is horrible, dean. You can't be serious.

SIU was picked last and will finish there. Barry has done nothing to overachieve or underachieve. He will be back and should be.
Phelps has had plenty of time to produce and hasn't.
Muller had high expectations and low performance. If any 1st year coach was gonna be gone, it's him. Muller will and should return.
If a coach isn't plucked from the league, I would expect all to return.

This.

Phelps is the only one in any kind of trouble this year.

Lusk may be after next year unless that young talent really plays well next year...no real chance of being fired for 2 more seasons unless they really tank next year

Hinson is in his first year at a program that has been the laughing stock of the conference for three years. He will get at least 4 years before his seat starts to get warm, unless he finishes in 9th or 10 every year with NO sign of improvement. We all saw how long Lowery was kept around.

Muller shouldn't have to worry about anything. Very high expectations, but I think most outside of ISUr knew that the loss of their all-frosh team PG and tenured coach would hurt them. The way ISU started the season and is playing now he is more than safe. No one really knows what happened at the start of the conference season, but it clearly was an anomaly.

Ford is showing that he has Bradley on the right track. He is playing with a very veteran line up though. The real test will start next year and really the next year or two after that. Egolf, Simms-Edwards, Eastman gone after this year and Prosser/Lemon Jr after next year. If Geno can recruit/build the players he will be fine. However, he inherited some real fine players.

Jacobson won't be fired unless UNI finishes in 10th place for the next 5 years.

McDermott - see Jacobson...more likely to take a "bigger" job before he is fired. Though his failure at ISU may keep him from doing that, unless he wants to prove he can do it and ISU was just a bad situation. Will get interesting after Doug is gone.

Marshall isn't going to get fired. He has shown he can recruit very good talent and keep WSU near the top of the league. However, if he is making 1.5 million how long is WSU going to keep paying that for no conference titles/NCAA wins if the trend continues? Or how long before Marshall sees WSU getting left behind in a realignment situation/thinks he's hit the ceiling at WSU and moves on.

Lansing isn't getting fired - likely COY this year. He's more likely to get plucked by a higher profile program than he is to get fired in the next 3 years.

Simms - see Lansing more or less. He has Evansville showing more life the last 2 or 3 years than in a VERY long time at E'ville. However, we will see how that continues after Colt is gone.

Marshall won the Valley last year by 2 games with a 16-2 record. He's the only coach in WSU history to win 20+ games in 4 seasons, all in a row. If WSU wins 5 more, that'll be 3 straight seasons of 25+. He's finished at least 2nd in the Valley in the last 3 years. He has 1 NCAA appearance so far, but that's a start seeing how WSU only has 2 appearances since 1988.

Marshall is fine for the price tag.

it will be interesting to see what mcdermott does after doug and echenique are gone. I know they have some fine players, but I don't see a lot of horses in the stable after those two.

Most of you genius' had Marshall moving on three years ago, and then the next year, and then the next. Keep on predicting and someday you may be :Bam: right.

I'm not saying he will.

I just asked how long will he stay without moving on if the current trend of having a good regular season continues without NCAA victories. Maybe 20 years, I don't know.

You should always take the money. I am not predicting he moves on. I am saying he is stupid if the money is there and he doesn't take it.
