Congrats Northern Iowa you definitely outplayed, out-hustled, and outworked Creighton. Jays cant do anything right and the disappointing season continues, blah.

UNI has heart which is something Creighton completely lacks.

I've never seen someone bitch and moan about everything on a court quite like him.....except his father.

I didn't read through all the posts, but man those refs were awful. They didn't want to call anything on the North end of the court. In the first half it was all going UNI's way, in the second half it was going all Creighton's way. Terrible group of refs just terrible.

UNI I think has figured something out. They realized if they play defense it will lead to offense. Jake Koch was simply amazing tonight. He struggled shooting, but what he did on defense was great. Holding McDermott to 3 points in the 2nd half was huge. I thought Gibbs was awful in the first half for CU, but was great and the only reason they were in the game in the 2nd half.

Right now UNI and ISUr are playing like people thought they should this season. Should be a wild time come March 7th - 10th.

This may be the only good thing about CU's swoon as of late... having the Jays pretty much fall apart shows that Doug has a lot of things to work on before making the jump to the pros. I think the Jays falling back to Earth should ensure DMD will be back for his senior season.

Forgot to mention how Jacobsen out-coached McDermott.

1) McDermott doesn't coach in February. UNI fans used to hate it and now we love it.

2) UNI was clearly the aggressor tonight. We got pretty much every lose ball and Koch made Doug his b!tch down the stretch.

3) Coach Jake and Coach Mac have completely different personalities and it rubs off on the players. Tonight this difference favored the Panthers. We played hard nosed, disciplined basketball while the BJ's unraveled mentally and emotionally.

4) Nobody in the MVC wants play UNI or ISUred right now. Nobody.

He held McDermott to 1 point in the second half....

2 of his points came on a douche move dunk with .5 seconds left in the game as UNI players were waiting for the final horn to sound as they had a 9 point lead at the time.

Great cross over showed by Doug on that drive though. Showed that open air who is boss in that house....
