I love how it is fine that the ISUr coach stalked the WSU team and staff to just outside of our locker room and started shouting at them to instigate the whole thing. Even the ISU security guard fan says as much. Totally classy, and clearly WSU's fault that they didn't just bend over when he came at them.

I'm not reading through all six pages. Anyways listening to the end of coach marshalls show it is clear from his point of view that Illinois st coach came to the shocker locker area and was fueling things. Now if one of wsu coaches made a comment to coach ford than that is disappointing. I know switching schools in conference for a non head coach slot can seem like a slap at wsu. But I don't think he would have gone had he not been offered more money and a newer title. I would have liked to have seen more enjoyment after the win and not all the trash talking.

i take it you don't want to answer the question.

No I don't, common sense not to argue pointless drivel. Encouraging it however usually helps to raise the entertainment level so carry on... Please!

So it's just a newer title and more money (can't believe WSU would ever be outbid)?

Any idea where Coach Ford went to College? Illinois State. It's hard to say no to your alma mater when they come calling.

And coaches lie all the time. They tell recruits they are going to be there all 4 or 5 years when they are seniors and then bolt for jobs all the time.

I'm not reading seven pages of this.

What I understand is:

Taunting is classless.

Intentionally kicking a player in the head is not.

Some of you people have your priorities out of whack.

Bet your priorities would be a lot more straight right now if Cotton had been seriously injured by that kick.

Some ISUr fans aren't being rationale. Good Grief.
It was a heck of a comeback and WSU took advantage of the opportunity.
I'm sure Jackie's kick to the face and/or chest wasn't premeditated. But it happened. Even the crowd reacted with a groan. Not WSU's fault.
I'm sure the Shocker players were pumped and excited to win. The Broadcast showed as if the players were conversing with some of the fans in a friendly manner as they entered the tunnel.
The WSU asst coach reacted to fans reportedly shouting obscenities and zinging coins.
Print media reporting ISU coach(es) berating WSU coaches and players near the visitors locker room.
Where's the hospitality given to a visiting team?

I can understand why ISUr is disappointed, but some of the commentary by some of you is silly.

You have a good team and lost a heartbreaker. It happens.

My understanding is that it was pretty much the same money. Probably liked the Associate Head Coach title and going back to his alma mater. I think that the sticking point for the WSU staff was that he had been with Coach Marshall , Jans, and Heier for almost all of his short coaching career, and had committed (gave his word) to two years at least (because he had replaced another one year asst. coach) when he was hired. He was young and going back to his alma mater is more important than it will probably be later on in his career. I wish him all the best at ISU in the future.

I think they were throwing coins at WSU assuming you needed bus fare back to Wichita.

Actually we hated you when you lost and lost alot as well. You're the same classless punk program you've always been. Your fanbase thinks youre the Raider Nation but honestly it just comes across as small man mentality and is really pretty pathetic.

I have no idea what happened after the ISU game but if I had to place money on the team that was running thier mouths the most, I'd put all I had on the Shockers.

That's understandable.

The thing is with Coach Muller just getting hired a chance to be at Illinois State as an asst probably isn't going to happen for another few years for Coach Ford. Even if there is a coaching change in the next 5-10 years, there is no guaranttee that Ford would be brought in by the new coach.

Ford is from Illinois and of course went to school at ISU, and I am pretty sure his wife (he just got married) is from Chicago-land as well.
