congrats on the win Shocks. ISU has pretty much thrown in the towel for the season. How a team can go from 1st place to what is probably now going to be 6th place is beyond me. A gazillion turnovers and missed FT's were the deciding factors in the loss.

ISU is in the midst of its' annual MVC losing streak as well now, only this year it came a little later than the normal January timeframe.

Our white flag is out and flying high.

Yep. Especially Redbird fans. An Indiana State loss actually helps them in the standings but they'd rather see WSU lose. Sorry guys.

WSU is now 2-0 in games many on here probably thought they didn't have a shot winning. Big revenge win for the Shox. Even though it was ugly, you'll take wins as ugly as they come on the Valley road.

Good game. Haymakers at the end by both teams. On the questionable call (foul instead of jump ball on Early), it appears the officials made a make-up call for not calling the foul earlier. Wichita State made their free-throws though, and had some big shots. Indiana State had a lot of heart though; it felt like they made 10 points in that last minute.

Thanks, not sure what is happening to the Trees. That definitely was not the same team that smashed us in Wichita a few weeks back.

I'm sure you'll be a beast next year and still can make some noise in St. Louis if things get back on track.

I want to applaud your RPI that is helping the contenders and you too. You had some great non-con wins before league play that is going to help our league. You have a good team that can beat anybody. Good Luck.

Unless something changes majorly with the coaching, next year will be the same as this year. We constantly hit that rut and never get through it. It is the same crap year after year, a couple years ago we played decently in the MVC tournament and got a lot of help form other teams poor play. Other than that the Sycamores have annually played a huge section of the season poorly. I honestly think the program needs to go in a different direction in coaching style. They started to with McKenna and he brought in some good players and had a nice offensive scheme with some mixing defense, but that quickly vanished once he left for Oregon. I really like Greg Lansing but he just doesn't seem to cut the mustard X and O wise. He is a high level recruiter and a great human being, but he really needs to expand his views on offense and defense or his teams will continually under achieve from what they could.

Indiana State is definitely one the most perplexing teams in the NCAA this year. If the "good" Indiana State shows up, they could win the MVC tournament and beat almost any team in the NCAA tournament. If the "bad" Indiana State shows up, they can be beaten by a much lower quality team.

Honestly, Indiana State is the only team I wouldn't mind winning Arch Madness over the Shockers. I wouldn't "enjoy" it -I definitely hope this is the year the Shockers can beat the Saint Louis blues- but I could accept it. Creighton and Illinois State on the other hand...

God ISUB is terrible. Wichita brought their C game and still won tonight on the road. What happen to the team that beat MIami? Have fun losing in the first round of the valley tournament.

I put a lot of value on conditioning at this time of the year.

A lot of what's happening now is based on what happened last summer and the minutes the players have been getting to this point. If a player is supposed to get 30+ minutes a game and be effective for the entire season, they better be busting it every day in the weight room and on the track every day of the off season.

Yeah, I hoped INS would win.

But how does that outcome effect the Birds?
