Not being a douche, but you can't be serious. Were you on here during the Creighton-SIU years? There was plenty of that.

Honestly, the most bearable fanbase during a run of dominance was probably Illinois State about 15 years ago on the OLD mvc board.

Most of the guiltiest parties are no longer here, unsurprisingly.

I will add that Drake fans were pretty gracious during their miracle run...probably because it was just so shocking they didn't have time to develop arrogance.

After reading most of this thread, the only thing I have to say is that there is a great amount of dis-ingenuousness on both sides of the debate.

It's looking to me like someone from WSU's bench disrespected Dana Ford in the handshake line. Why else would an ISU coach be so incensed? Can we use some common sense here? Whoever did the disrespecting, regardless of the history, should have just taken the high road. We swept the Redbirds this year, let that do the talking.

That said, it's equally stupid and classless to follow that up with an angry stalking of the visiting team to it's locker room to provoke an incident. Congratulations, you just allowed someone to get under your skin to the point of bringing out your bad behaviors. Maybe next time, just go back to the lockerroom and vow to get your revenge on the court next time.

Sorry, but I'm amazed how a group of seemingly college-educated sports fans can blatantly ignore facts and abandon common sense just to avoid admitting that their side might deserve a little bit of the blame.

It's true though. WSU really didn't do a thing wrong Sunday night except celebrate a win like everyone else does in a big game on an opposing floor and they're the big dirty bad guys. All the time.

And you're simply homerish or delusional if you don't think other fans, including yours, had lots to say, and said similar things during their window of light period.

I doubt most other teams when they are winning face as much negativity here, either.

Evansville is better than WSU. WSU is all hype. Theyve beaten one good team all year.

WSU does recruit more high prestige recruits than any other valley school. They also are one of the only, if not the only, valley schools to currently recruit illegally .

wichita is the most over-rated valley team , they always under-achieve???? NOOO , we always over -hype em, theyve never been that good and wont be any different this year

And on, and on, and on. Honestly, I could likely find 100 negative posts about WSU to every one negative post about Creighton, without the slightest doubt. You have two teams that are winning at the same clip, but only one of those two is facing the extreme level of negativity, and you're surprised WSU fans overcompensate in turn?

The more negative things about WSU that get thrown up on here, the more trolls come over to over-compensate. The more trolls there are, the more negative things get towards WSU. The snake is eating itself.

In fact, what I've found interesting about this is that the more "trollish" WSU fans tend to be over the top on hyping WSU, but very rarely actually attack other teams in the conference. How often do you see WSU fans calling Creighton overrated or cheaters?

I would rather see ridiculous troll hype than ridiculous troll attacks, personally. Of course, I'd rather see neither, but it is what it is. I just think it's funny how much more it stands out to people when the trolls are hyping their team rather than tearing down someone else's.
