Completely agree. We no-doubtably have 3 great players, you would think you could find just 2 guys that could just be role players, and that would be enough. It comes down to not playing team offense, which has to go at least partially on coaching.

What do you think is the most surprising outcome/story line in today's games?
I would say Creighton's struggles and UE's strong game (but I may be a little biased on the latter).

Creighton basically can only lose one more game, and that is including the MVC tourney. I think if say, we go 1-1 in our last two, and then even if we then win 2 in St. Louis, and lose in the Championship game, we would likely be left out. That would put us at 5-5 for our last 10.

I believe that they now put little to even no importance on the last ten games anymore, at least they aren't supposed to.

The image I tried to link showed a gas gauge well past the "E". All I got was the address of the link.

I just think CU has run out of gas. I agree with the CU posters who think giving more bench players more minutes earlier in the season would be paying dividends now.

I also agree that giving Echenique more looks and more touches would have paid dividends. Sometimes I fear McD, the Elder, is too fond of McD, The Younger, and is using CU's team to pad The Younger's stats.

With the way CU's season has gone, it's mainly 7 guys (with Jones gone) who've carried the load. Now, the legs are tired, the games aren't as much fun as they were in December, there's been one main focus on offense. When the 3's stopped falling, the only offensive option other than McDermott was gone.

Echenique seems to be the likely focus other than McD or 3, but apparently CU's offensive plans don't go through his hands.

Reality is Creighton is a 3 point shooting team period. We shoot >40%, we have a very good chance of winning. We shoot <30% like we did today, we will most likely lose. We shouldn't be dependent on the 3 point shot like we are with inside players like McDermott and GE but we are. That has something to do with coaching and not utilizing players to their best abilities. It's too late in the season to change that now.

If you look at the first two months of the season, there were very few games where we shot <40% from 3. In the last 10 games, I bet there are 4 or 5 games where we couldn't get over 30% and I bet we lost those games. Maybe it's bad shooting, maybe it's the law of averages.

CU could easily miss the tourney with a loss against WSU and an early Lou exit.

I have a hard time typing this, but they have to worry about winning in Peoria before they worry about WSU. Bradley was up at halftime in Omaha just a few weeks ago. If CU has truly regressed this much, a BU win at home is not that big of a stretch.

Just now watching the CU game. I agree with recent statements about exhaustion. They just look a full step slower than earlier in the year. Late season exhaustion due to the short bench?

Nice day for the Valley overall though. Particularly impressed with WSU's win. Detroit has some athletes!

Also of note, Anthony James knocked knees with a Denver player early to midway through the 2nd half and did not return. That hurt UNI down the stretch in the game as we missed his offensive creativity and defense but more importantly, could really hurt UNI if he has to miss anymore time. He has been criticized at times this year for his silly mistakes with the ball when we struggle but the Panthers have needed him in these past couple of weeks during their hot streak.
[Insert snappy comeback]

Worst f****** refs ever.

Holy s*** that was embarrassing....

Denver's coach is ALL OVER his HALF of the court and nothing. Jake takes 2 steps out of the box and it T'ed up. F***ing stupid.

Almost as embarrassing as the way the Denver team acted after the game...

Classless
