As much fun as it is to make fun of Gregggg Marshall, he has your program in a great place as far as winning games. I like the depth and energy and defense he brings to the shockers. Not quite as hard nosed as SIU's former teams, but more depth and in a few years i could definately see Wichita be very much like the great SIU teams under Bruce Webber? i believe it was Bruce Webber, not sure. BTW, aside from Creighton's 02'-03' team, Some of those SIU teams were my favorite college ball teams of all time, so take this as a compliment. Idk if anyone will ever be as hard nosed and tough, scrappy, as those SIU teams were, but at the same time, you guys have a better ability to bring more highly touted recruits in than SIU had, i would imagine. So its not an exact comparison, but similar in the defense first and high energy mentality.

I did a quick look at recent history, just last 20 years or so, no Valley player has career win totals as high as him I don't think. There is definately players who's 4 year careers have totaled a better 4 year stretch for their respective teams, but not as far as total wins. Creighton for 6 years between 1999-2004 , pick any period of 4 years in there, and also SIU for 6 years between 2002-2007, pick any period of 4 years in there. These stretches were certainly better "4 year periods" overall, but not as far as total wins.
