That's funny.

Have fun being on the bubble(if that) every season with 8-9 losses in conference. Hope the money is worth it.

PEACE OUT!

another solid effort from a new poster!! what school allegiance might you have dpruett? i am guessing wsu, but that is a shot in the dark.

you do realize that IF cu leaves, and i'm not believing it until the school president makes the announcement, that cu will likely recruit at a much higher level don't you? it might take a year or 2, but it will happen.

do the jays have sweet 16 or elite 8 talent even with doug this year? no. will it take a couple years to get there? yes, at a minimum.

they make take some lumps initially, but at least they are trying to improve their stature. they have wanted to have this chance to compete with like minded schools for the better part of 3 decades and now it looks like they are getting their opportunity.

who said "we are going to do just great" in the Big East? nobody knows for sure how they will do if they go. i personally think they will be pretty competitive after awhile.

the valley has been good to the jays and likewise. for you to rip on cu or assume they are simply selling out for the $$ by making this move, makes you look pretty lame.

answer this dpruett, if whatever school you have an allegiance to was presented with this chance, would you want them to go, or stay in the mid -major mvc?

To all mvc fans, I understand people will be pissed today, and that some cu fans will probably make it worse, but I want to go on record and say I will miss the mvc, stl, the rivalries, and yes, the success we have had. I am very much looking forward to going to the next level and giving it a go.

Good luck going forward, and Hopefully some of you can join us again in a few years when we go to 16 teams.

So just because your in a better conference, you just assume that you're going to automatically start recruiting talent that will take you to an elite 8/Final 4?

LOL. Ask Virginia Tech, Clemson, Wake Forest, Georgia Tech, Boston College, TCU, Texas Tech, Penn State, Northwestern, Nebraska, Purdue, Minnesota, etc... how their conference has helped them make it deep into the NCAA Tournament.

News flash: It doesn't. You will be playing against more talented teams night in and night out and you will STILL lose out on the best players because the name "Creighton" doesn't stand out as much as other schools in big leagues.

And actually I talked to a Creighton fan after Arch Madness and he said this was ALL about the money. They don't give a rats a** about you fans.

Have fun spending thousands upon thousands of dollars to see your team get spanked in NYC for the conference tournament.

Have fun watching ticket prices get jacked to the moon.

Hope your other sports teams enjoy the horribly long trips to play their sports and the loss of class time that will accompany that.

Like I said earlier. PEACE OUT.

i said their recruiting would likely improve. i never said they will transform into UNC or Duke or KU where 4 and 5 star recruits are all they even look at and they are FF candidates every year. nobody has said that or thinks that. i said i think they will be competitive, time will tell how they do in the conference and in the conference tourney.

i find it interesting, that you think the valley's best program over the last 15 years will just fail miserably in this new conference. what does that say about whatever school you root for? you still didn't answer either of my questions dpruett, why? i still think you are likely a shocker fan, but again, just a wild guess on my part.

oh, and i'm sure that one CU fan you talked to in st. louis speaks for the entire University. what a joke.

I'm not upset and I wish the jays well. However, I do think that most of the solid, loyal, bill paying fans (not young students/new fans), are concerned if they are honest. I visited with some Creighton fans at the MVC Tourney, who were in the category of being concerned for the long term health of the Creighton athletic department. While they are supportive of the move, and they would agree that it was something they couldn't pass up, they were still concerned about the unforeseen consequences (like Obama care I might add) that could negatively affect their athletic programs. I have a feeling if you ask the best, most solid booster, as well as the coaches, and administrators at Creighton, they would admit their concern off the record. Only time will tell.

I will add that I don't think that Creighton will be a doormat. They will come out in the middle somewhere in my opinion.

Best of luck Creighton fans. Even though your team has beaten SIU's brains in the past few years, I'll miss the games against you guys. Best of luck in the new conference and a very well deserved opportunity.
